Course Information

AI for Kids (AI4K)® is a programme to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) to primary school children, aged between 9 to 12 years old, through blended learning and hands-on workshops. This curriculum, designed by AI Singapore’s very own AI engineers in partnership with NUS High students, teaches participants basic machine learning concepts such as supervised learning, computer vision and natural language processing. These concepts are applied when the participant learn to build a simple application on Scratch using block coding.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will learn basic programming concepts and application of modern AI technology.

Structure Overview and Typical Completion Time

AI4K Beginner Curriculum consists of 2 parts with a total of 11 lessons. Grade 1 is made up of the 6 lessons delivered in this course. Grade 2 is made of 5 lessons which can be delivered online or through Face-to-face lessons led by Certified Instructors.

*Coming up soon will be the AI4K Intermediate curriculum. This intermediate curriculum allows children to delve deeper into AI. Not only will they will have a better understanding of algorithm such as decision trees, they will also be exposed to the various possible use cases of Computer Vision , Natural Language Processing and Recommender System. An addition of unplugged activity would also expose the children to other topics such as Ethics in AI and Reinforcement Learning.
