The “Enhancing Workplace Efficiency with Applied Generative AI” is a beginner-level course designed to equip participants with a foundational understanding of generative AI, even if they have little to no technical experience.
This workshop focuses on imparting practical skills in using generative AI tools while also addressing crucial ethical considerations in their application.
Participants will learn to:
The workshop is divided into three main modules:
The module provides a quick introduction to generative AI and its real-world applications. Participants will explore how Large Language Models (LLMs) function, understanding the fundamental differences between generative AI and traditional AI approaches. The module delves into the positive and negative impacts of generative AI across industries and daily life, while also addressing its current limitations and imperfections. Participants will also learn about LLM benchmarks, how these models are evaluated and compared.
The module covers the essential skills of crafting effective prompts for generative AI models. Participants will explore the fundamental concept of prompts and their various types, gaining a good understanding of prompt structure. The module also covers incremental prompting for refining outputs and roleplay prompting for specialized tasks. Through hands-on exercises and practical examples, participants will develop the ability to construct prompts that elicit desired responses from AI models.
The module covers the critical aspects of responsible AI development and deployment. Participants will explore the fundamental principles of AI ethics and governance, focusing on transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy. The module examines the stakeholder liabilities in AI implementation, highlighting the importance of understanding legal and ethical responsibilities. Through engaging case studies and small group discussions, learners will tackle scenarios of ethical dilemmas in AI decision-making.
